3 of the Best Online Products to Improve Your Speaking

You can find anything for purchase on the internet, and you likely buy things online, as the internet has become the shopping place for almost half the people on earth.

Rachel LeWinter recently wrote an article titled "The 65 Weirdest, Most Hilarious Things You Can Buy on Amazon," which is helpful if you’re looking for something unique.

Are you looking for a rubber chicken purse?

How about a dodgeball game using fake burritos that has 25,000+ five-star reviews?

Or a five-minute toilet timer that times you when you go to the bathroom? It is so popular it was on the TV show Shark Tank, and it has over 10,000 five-star reviews on Amazon!

While filling up your online shopping cart, have you considered purchasing tools online that could help you with your public speaking?

Here are three tools I recommend purchasing between all your online shopping:

  1. Voice Spray

This spray is not for when you have a cold or sore throat, yet it could certainly help at that time, but instead for when you feel that your voice is a little scratchy or dry before public speaking. The specific spray I have been using for years is available from Barlow Herbal, and it’s called Throat Spray. This herbal throat spray has a unique proprietary mixture that is by far the best thing I have ever used. I carry one with me wherever I speak, have another on my desk, one in our Zoom studio, and one in my truck. I guarantee you will love this product as much as I do.

Use code "Weldon20" and receive 20% off either the 1oz or 4oz refill size.

  2. Giant Classroom Timer

This is the best way to stay on track when speaking live or virtually. It’s about four inches wide and about 8 inches long with a giant digital display that counts from 0 to 99 minutes or it can go backwards from 99 minutes to 0 with an alarm that you can turn on or off. When I walk on stage, I have it in my hand, and as I say my first word, I start the timer and put it on a table next to me. This timer can help you pace your timing points correctly, as you can easily see when you need to change from one point to another. It’s the best timer I have ever used and can be found here.

  3. PerfectQue Micro

Made by the Dsan Corporation in New York. This is by far the best slide advancer in the world, and every professional A/V company that I have done meetings with for decades only uses PerfectQue for the speakers that go on stage and have slides. It really is foolproof. It has a range of 300 feet, fits comfortably in your hand, can go forward or backward, black out a screen, and has a laser feature. While it retails for $385, it’s the only remote that will operate two laptops simultaneously, allowing you to see both the slide you are presenting and the upcoming slide for a seamless setup - because of this feature, it is worth every penny. I own two of these to ensure that I will have a backup if my primary advancer dies.

I insist on using PerfectCue for all my presentations, and of the thousands of speaking engagements I have hosted, it has never missed once. This is primarily because the advancer button is located in the middle of the device and is not a rocker like other, cheaper advancers.

If you believe this tool will benefit you, they will offer you a 20% discount when you tell them you're using Joel Weldon's Ultimate Speaking System at the time of your purchase.

The internet is full of useless and valuable purchases. These three tools will change the way you’re able to captivate an audience during your speaking engagements, and if you’re not ready to make these purchases, there's always a hat that looks like a pizza or a $36,000 prefab home available for sale.

Whatever you need is most likely online, so log on and MAKE it a great day!
